Basketball Recap: Holdenville Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Lexxi Goolsby and Dah'myah Olden

Holdenville and Jones squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Holdenville had to settle for second. They fell to the Jones Longhorns 33-27. The Wolverines lost against the Longhorns in their previous head to head back in February of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-22 score last time.

Holdenville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dah'Myah Olden, who posted 16 points along with five boards and three steals, and Lexxi Goolsby, who had four points. Olden is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Holdenville's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Jones, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

Holdenville has already played their next game, a 65-19 victory against Crooked Oak on the 28th. Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
