Baseball Recap: False River Has No Trouble Against Alexandria Country Day

False River won the last time they faced Alexandria Country Day and things went their way on Monday too. The Gators blew past the Tigers 11-1.

Preston Guiliory spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Gradfeo, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Ramagos, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

False River has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-18-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Alexandria Country Day, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
