The Brookfield Central Lancers will take on the Indian Trail Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Brookfield Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Hamilton, who was ranked third at the time (Brookfield Central was ranked 17th). The Lancers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers on Wednesday. The Lancers have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Brookfield Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-14, 25-20, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Brookfield Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Clark Kramer had 12 digs and 12 assists. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Kramer.
Meanwhile, Indian Trail had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Rebels. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since August 30th.
Indian Trail took Racine Horlick into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 20-25, 23-25, 15-11.
Indian Trail's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Brookfield Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.
Brookfield Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Indian Trail in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-0. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
