Baseball Recap: Medford Victorious

Medford lost to Houston back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hurricanes, sneaking past 16-14. Medford's win was all the more impressive since the Hurricanes were averaging only 3.2 runs allowed on the season.

Justin Limon was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. James Wagner was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Medford's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Houston, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Medford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-0 defeat against Randolph on the 14th. As for Houston, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-16 loss against Grand Meadow/Kingsland/LeRoy-Ostrander on the 14th.
