Football Recap: Spearfish Falls Short Against Ranked Huron + How To Watch

Spearfish faced Huron in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 27-25. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Anderson Porisch was his usual excellent self, throwing for 205 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 55 yards for Huron. The Tigers also got a significant boost from Landon Hulst, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 135 yards.

The defeat snapped Spearfish's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. As for Huron, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.
