Softball Recap: Quincy Jackrabbits vs. Grandview Greyhounds
Quincy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-20 in the process. They lost 15-3 to the Grandview Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-12 on Thursday.
Emma Galloway made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Amy Buenrostro, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
As for Grandview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.5 runs over those games.
On Grandview's side, Brenna Snyder was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs Snyder has posted since back in March. Sofia Tovar was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
As of now, neither Quincy nor Grandview have any future games scheduled.
