It was a good run, but Charlotte unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 7-3 to the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders. The Fightin' Tarpons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ascenders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Charlotte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Klossner, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Charlotte's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for IMG Academy Gray, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Charlotte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Bonita Springs on the 1st. As for IMG Academy Gray, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 win against Barron Collier on the 1st.
