Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Bulldogs vs. Poplar Bluff Mules

The Notre Dame Bulldogs will challenge the Poplar Bluff Mules at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Poplar Bluff likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Notre Dame beat Hillsboro 65-56.

Meanwhile, Poplar Bluff played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 88-52 loss at the hands of Sikeston. The defeat continues a trend for the Mules in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Notre Dame has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Poplar Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Notre Dame didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Poplar Bluff in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory.
