Soccer Recap: Republic Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kickapoo, Republic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rock Bridge Bruins a 2-0 shutout.

Republic is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those nine games. As for Rock Bridge, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Republic will face off against Willard at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Willard will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Republic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rock Bridge, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Glendale on the 3rd.
