Softball Game Preview: Bay Tornadoes vs. Rickards Raiders

The Bay Tornadoes will head out on the road to challenge the Rickards Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bay is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs last Saturday, they were much more limited against Bozeman on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bucks, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Rickards lost 11-4 to Aucilla Christian on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Arriana Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Rickards now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bay has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .476. However, it's not like Rickards struggles in that department as they've averaged .502. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
