Puyallup proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by eight) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Decatur Golden Gators and snuck past 6-4.
Kate Havice made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Havice has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Havice was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a home run.
