Basketball Recap: Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cristo Rey Royals. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Cristo Rey was led to victory by Jemell Smith and Javon Allen. Smith posted 25 points, while Allen scored 15 points. Allen is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cristo Rey, they moved to 1-15 with that victory, which also ended their 15-game losing streak.

Life Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Cristo Rey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cristo Rey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-66 loss against The Carmel School on the 1st.
