Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Heritage over Mesa Ridge + How To Watch

Heritage lost to Mesa Ridge back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eagles strolled past the Grizzlies with points to spare, taking the game 35-18. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Mo Thenell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 180 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jamison Seese, who rushed for 58 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mesa Ridge only rushed for 155.

Although Mesa Ridge took the loss, they still got scores from Jakehlan Watts, Kobe Dooley, and Amari McBroom.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Mesa Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-13 loss against Columbine on the 25th. As for Mesa Ridge, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-7 defeat against Palmer Ridge on the 26th.
