Volleyball Recap: Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall Key Part of Team Effort in Terrors Win

Palmer won the last time they faced Thomas MacLaren School and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Terrors blew past the Highlanders 3-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Terrors as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Palmer walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-8, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audrenna Gemmeke-Hall, who had 20 assists and five aces. Those 20 assists gave Gemmeke-Hall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taytum Soppe-Cope, who had 17 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matches.

Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.

Palmer has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Coronado on the 25th. As for Thomas MacLaren School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Swallows Charter Academy on the 25th.
