Volleyball Recap: Reeds Spring Takes a Loss

Reeds Spring lost against Buffalo back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Reeds Spring saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Cadle had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Cadle.

Buffalo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carly Wentz-Smith, who had six aces. Those six aces gave Wentz-Smith a new career-high.

Reeds Spring's loss dropped their record down to 7-26-3. As for Buffalo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-11-4.

Reeds Spring has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hollister on the 16th. As for Buffalo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Forsyth on the 16th.
