Preview: Marshall Rams vs. Clark Cougars
After four games on the road, Marshall is heading back home. They will take on the Clark Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Marshall fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Brandeis on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Broncos 73-68. While losing is never fun, Marshall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 857th, while Brandeis is ranked 399th).
Meanwhile, Clark came up short against Reagan on Wednesday and fell 56-47.
Marshall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
