DeKalb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Garrett, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's contest. The Barons were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Railroaders on Friday. This was payback for the Barons, who suffered a 33-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.

DeKalb got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Xavier Bell out in front who picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown. Bell didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Noah Spears also helped out with an impressive 116 receiving yards.

The victory got DeKalb back to even at 1-1. As for Garrett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, DeKalb will venture away from home to square off against New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Barons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Garrett, they will be playing at home against Churubusco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
