DeKalb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Garrett, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Barons were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Railroaders on Friday. This was payback for the Barons, who suffered a 33-30 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DeKalb to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavier Bell, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one score. Bell also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Noah Spears did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 116 receiving yards.

The victory got DeKalb back to even at 1-1. As for Garrett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 43-40 loss against New Haven on the 5th. As for Garrett, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-7 win against Churubusco on the 5th.
