Basketball Recap: Valders Comes Up Short

If Valders was feeling good fresh off their 85-44 takedown of Chilton last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valders Vikings fell 72-62 to the Brillion Lions on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Valders' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brillion, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Valders will host Cedar Grove-Belgium at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brillion, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Brillion Lions challenge the Chilton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brillion is facing Chilton at the right time seeing as Chilton is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
