Baboquivari is 0-10 against St. David since February of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Tigers at 3:45 p.m. Baboquivari has given up an average of 22 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Baboquivari came up short against San Manuel on Tuesday, falling 23-1.
Meanwhile, St. David had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past the Bearcats 17-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Paisley Gooding made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, St. David got a massive performance out of Emelynn Jacquez, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Jacquez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Camber Jacquez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
St. David kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.
St. David's record now sits at 13-3. As for Baboquivari, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
Baboquivari might still be hurting after the 24-0 defeat they got from St. David when the teams last played back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
