It was a good run, but Cresskill unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Rutherford Bulldogs and fell 34-6. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even if they lost, Cresskill's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Max Reiner was especially locked on to Rutherford's QB and sacked him twice.

Cresskill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rutherford, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cresskill will challenge rival Waldwick/Midland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Jake Lewin and Dylan Ferrara. Meanwhile, Rutherford is set to take on their familiar foe North Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
