Basketball Game Preview: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Culver City Centaurs

The Camarillo Scorpions will head out on the road to challenge the Culver City Centaurs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Camarillo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Camarillo is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Moorpark: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Camarillo blew Moorpark out of the water with a 77-29 final score. The Scorpions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 31 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Culver City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 78-66 victory over the Olympians.

Camarillo pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Culver City, they are also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
