Basketball Game Preview: St. Genevieve Valiants vs. La Salle Lancers

St. Genevieve is 0-10 against La Salle since February of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The St. Genevieve Valiants will head out on the road to face off against the La Salle Lancers at 7:00 p.m.

St. Genevieve is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 85-42 loss at the hands of Verbum Dei Jesuit. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Valiants have suffered since December 20, 2023.

La Salle fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary with a 51-46 victory on Wednesday.

St. Genevieve's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for La Salle, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.

Things could have been worse for St. Genevieve, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 77-63 loss to La Salle when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can St. Genevieve avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
