Basketball Game Preview: Model Blue Devils vs. Bremen Blue Devils

The Model Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Bremen Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Model is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Trion to the tune of 71-15 on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Blue Devils who have now won five games in a row.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Bremen on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Pepperell out of the water with a 56-11 final score. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Dragons are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bremen has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Model, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Model was able to grind out a solid victory over Bremen in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 45-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Model since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
