Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer lost against Vanden back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Patriots came up short against the Vikings, falling 3-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-11.

Pioneer's offense was headlined by Ed Arreola and Justin Duncan, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Mark Estantino and his three assists.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Vanden, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Pioneer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Wood on the 17th. As for Vanden, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Rodriguez on the 17th.
