After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ventura, Buena was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-24 win over the Royal Highlanders. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season.

Jaxon Roberts was his usual excellent self, rushing for 164 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and one touchdown. He has become a key player for Buena: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Tyler Jaitt was another key player, rushing for 98 yards and a pair of scores.

Buena didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Josiah Perez.

When it comes to explaining why Royal lost, don't look at Landen Murray. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards on only 13 carries.

Buena's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Royal, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.
