Basketball Recap: FAITH HomeSchool Comes Up Short

FAITH HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Christian Educational Consortium Cougars 49-20. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 560th in Michigan, while the Cougars are ranked 236th in Kentucky).

Leading Christian Educational Consortium to victory were Jenna Wyndham and Sophie Hales. Wyndham went 8-for-20 on her way to 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Hales posted 19 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The game was Wyndham's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. Ainsley Balzer was another key player, putting up five points and seven rebounds.

FAITH HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Christian Educational Consortium, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-15.

FAITH HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they have already played their next match, a 42-28 loss against Indianapolis Northwest W on the 20th.
