Cascade posted their closest win since May 24, 2025 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the North Putnam Cougars. The win continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won seven in a row.

Brayden Cravens was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Toby Savini, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cascade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive games.

Cascade's record now sits at 7-4. As for North Putnam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will challenge Greenwood Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season. As for North Putnam, they will square off against Danville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
