Basketball Recap: JC Bermudez Doral Takes a Loss

The JC Bermudez Doral Thunder were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 63-57 to the Sunset Knights. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sunset's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Luis, who went 8-for-16 en route to 25 points. Luis has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 20 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jullien Louis, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

JC Bermudez Doral's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sunset, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, JC Bermudez Doral will head out to challenge Goleman at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sunset, they will host South Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
