Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Lake vs. Bastrop Bears

Having just played yesterday, Canyon Lake will jump right back in to play the Bastrop Bears at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Canyon Lake is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Canyon Lake saw some tournament action on Friday. They had to suffer through a 86-42 loss at the hands of Liberty Hill. While losing is never fun, Canyon Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while Liberty Hill is ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Bastrop was beaten by Hargrave 106-68 on Friday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canyon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Bastrop, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Canyon Lake strolled past Bastrop in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 56-39. Does Canyon Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bastrop turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
