ABF Academy Homestead is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Hialeah Educational Academy by a score of 10-5 on Wednesday.
Ashton Rafaela looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Nathan Castillo was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alex Reguiera, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
ABF Academy Homestead kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hialeah Educational Academy only hit three hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Goleman, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Homestead with a sharp 18-0 win on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Gators' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Izaiah Guerrero looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, Daniel Garcia was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Garcia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Goleman's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for ABF Academy Homestead, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
