Basketball Recap: Leyton Extends Road Winning Streak to 13

Leyton extended their road winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Zaili Benish. The Leyton Warriors really took it to the Potter-Dix Coyotes for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-11 victory thanks in part to Benish, who went 13 for 23 on her way to 35 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Her morning made it 17 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Haley, who posted six points along with eight boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave her a new career-high.

Leyton's record is now 5-0. As for Potter-Dix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Leyton will be playing in front of their home fans against Bayard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leyton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Potter-Dix, they will venture away from home to challenge Banner County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
