Ellet is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past North 85-24 last Monday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-13.
Ellet's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caitlyn Holmes, who went 9 for 14 on her way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of D?Amore Scott, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.
Ellet was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Streetsboro on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Ravenna out of the water with a 76-34 final score. The game marked the Rockets' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Ellet better keep an eye on Naomi Benson. She was instrumental in Streetsboro's win, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Benson's third in a row with at least ten points. Sydney Abbuhl was another key player, going 6 of 9 on her way to 16 points and four steals.
Streetsboro's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Ellet, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Ellet hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 60 points per game. However, it's not like Streetsboro struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
