Soccer Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Orange County Fighting Hornets, falling 3-0. If Monticello were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to Orange County when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Orange County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

Monticello didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Fluvanna County on the 28th. As for Orange County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Charlottesville on the 28th.
