Volleyball Recap: Leo Extends Winning Streak to Three

Leo waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the East Noble Knights. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Knights back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Leo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

East Noble's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylie Walz, who had 17 digs and two aces. Walz is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 22 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Desper, who had 14 assists and 11 digs.

Leo's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for East Noble, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

Coming up, Leo will host Huntington North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Noble, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Fort Wayne Snider on the 1st.
