Everything went their way against the Northeastern Bobcats on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-3 win. The Panthers have beaten the Bobcats the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bobcats has come to flipping the script.
The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Shaffer, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Weigle, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Central York kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
