Brookwood and Parkview are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2014, but not for long. The Brookwood Broncos will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Parkview Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Brookwood will be strutting in after a win while Parkview will be coming in after a loss.

Brookwood took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They really took it to Berkmar for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-6 victory at home. With the Broncos ahead 32-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Brayden Tyson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 223 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Franklin, who rushed for 73 yards on only five carries.

Brookwood wouldn't let Berkmar keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Brookwood can thank Chris Scott and Daimon Diggs for forcing both of them. Diggs is also crushing it when it comes to forced fumbles: he's earned at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Brookwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Parkview was beaten by North Gwinnett 52-13 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Bulldogs are ranked fourth).

Brookwood's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Parkview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Brookwood ended up a good deal behind Parkview in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, losing 43-24. Thankfully for Brookwood, Jaiden Jenkins (who rushed for 68 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 112 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
