League recap: Shadow Mountain scores huge upset over Alhambra

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Shadow Mountain, who took down 104th ranked Alhambra, 28-10.

Washington took down Moon Valley 49-27 last week, the largest margin of any game. Antwain Marlowe ran for 233 yards in the win.

Jordan Leary was the best wideout in III Section VI this week as Phoenix Christian defeated Central. Leary tallied 7 receptions for 166 yards.

Emanuel Gant put up the best numbers through the air as Tempe topped Thunderbird. He finished with a total of 20 completions for 371 yards and 3 touchdowns. Gant's favorite target this week was Massiah Smith, who caught 5 passes for 159 yards.

Marlowe was a beast in the backfield as the Rams bested the Rockets.

He went 20-30 with 0 interception.

Marlowe was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate James Rasmussen added to the ground attack by rushing for 51 yards.

The Buffaloes' Gant and Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gant has thrown for 1,393 yards this season, while Smith, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 21 catches for 566 yards. Scottie Jordan from the Cougars leads the league in rushing with 1,116 yards.

A big matchup in III Section VI this week will be when Washington takes on the Lions. At the moment, Jon Becktold's team is in third, while Alhambra is in second.
