Basketball Game Preview: Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors vs. Cornwall Central Dragons

The Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors will challenge the Cornwall Central Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Our Lady of Lourdes has given up an average of 56.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Our Lady of Lourdes is headed into Thursday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They fell 64-55 to New Paltz last Monday.

Meanwhile, Cornwall Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past Valley Central with a 50-45 victory on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Cornwall Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Our Lady of Lourdes' defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

Our Lady of Lourdes was able to grind out a solid win over Cornwall Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2015, winning 61-50. Will Our Lady of Lourdes repeat their success, or does Cornwall Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
