Basketball Recap: Trinity Lutheran Takes a Loss

Trinity Lutheran has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 68-22 loss at the hands of the Life Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.

Life Christian Academy was led to victory by Ahmed Salim Mustapha and Travon Graves. Mustapha dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds, while Graves made all 7 shots he took for 17 points and five rebounds. Those 17 points gave Graves a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Romeu, who posted seven points and three steals.

Trinity Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Life Christian Academy, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

Trinity Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Nazaret Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Life Christian Academy, they will face off against Apopka Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
