Volleyball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers lost against Lakeview back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-6.

Struthers' offense was headlined by Ashley Marcucci and Gianna Martin, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Andonia Kavouras and her seven assists. Finally, Martin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Struthers' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Struthers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against McKinley on the 25th. As for Lakeview, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Girard on the 25th.
