Timber Creek Regional posted their closest win since September 15, 2023 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-24 victory over the Notre Dame Irish. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Tyrone Baker JR had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 62 yards. Quadir Baldwin was Baker JR's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Timber Creek Regional's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Nick Traynor was especially locked on to Notre Dame's QB and sacked him twice. Traynor also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.

Timber Creek Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.

Timber Creek Regional's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Timber Creek Regional is headed away from home for the first time to take on Kingsway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek Regional is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road dating back to last season. As for Notre Dame, they will take on Hopewell Valley Central on Friday.
