Football Recap: Moss Point Comes Up Short

Moss Point came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Pass Christian Pirates 49-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Keelan Harper threw for 80 yards on six of 14 attempts. Jayden Brown was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards.

Paris Trivillion produced another solid performance rushing for 118 yards and two scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 153 yards and three touchdowns for Pass Christian. Larkin Lewis was Trivillion's top target, picking up 52 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Moss Point's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pass Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moss Point will host Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pass Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Marion at 7:00 p.m. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
