Basketball Game Preview: Leon Cougars vs. Lovelady Lions

Leon is 0-10 against Lovelady since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Leon Cougars duke it out with the Lovelady Lions at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Leon came up short against Centerville on Friday, falling 67-46. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lovelady was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 41-36 to Centerville.

Leon's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Lovelady, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Leon suffered a grim 64-43 defeat to Lovelady in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Leon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
