Football Game Preview: Woodbridge Vikings vs. Freedom Eagles + How To Watch

Woodbridge hasn't had much luck against Freedom recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Freedom took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodbridge, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Woodbridge strolled past Forest Park with points to spare, taking the game 17-3. Those 17 points were actually the fewest the Vikings have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Woodbridge found their leader in sophomore Marquece Sharpe, who rushed for 147 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Those 147 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Sharpe.

Meanwhile, Freedom scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 54-8 loss at the hands of Charles J. Colgan. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Sharks are ranked 101st).

Woodbridge's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Woodbridge has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 383.3 total yards per game. It's a different story for Freedom, though, as they've been averaging only 116.3 total yards. Will Woodbridge be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Eagles flip the script?
