Baseball Recap: Georgetown Falls Short of Oceanside Collegiate Academy in the Playoffs

Georgetown and Oceanside Collegiate Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Georgetown had to settle for second. They lost 10-3 to the Landsharks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Landsharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on Thursday.

Georgetown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Krause, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run. Connor Hardee was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Georgetown nor Oceanside Collegiate Academy have any future games scheduled.
