Basketball Game Preview: Peebles Indians vs. Whiteoak Wildcats

The Peebles Indians will face off against the Whiteoak Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Peebles came up short against North Adams and fell 62-53. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while the Green Devils are ranked 214th).

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Whiteoak's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Manchester 49-44.

Whiteoak now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Peebles, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Peebles barely slipped by Whiteoak in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 51-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Peebles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
