Basketball Recap: Howell Victorious

After losing to Canton the last time they met, Howell decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Howell Highlanders came out on top against the Canton Cobras by a score of 53-46 on Friday.

Canton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teddy Winstel, who went 6 of 14 en route to 18 points. Nick Hurley was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Howell's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Canton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

When Howell and Canton next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Howell will try to stop Northville's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Canton will face off against Brighton and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
