Soccer Recap: Mira Monte Takes a Loss

After flying high against Foothill last Wednesday, Mira Monte came back down to earth. The Mira Monte Lions fell just short of the Golden Valley Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 416th).

Mira Monte's loss dropped their record down to 9-3-1. As for Golden Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5-3.

Mira Monte will face off against South at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Golden Valley, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Arvin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
