Basketball Game Preview: Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda vs. Hallandale Chargers

The Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda will square off against the Hallandale Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Don Soffer Aventura is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.9 points per game this season.

Hallandale will be up against a hot Don Soffer Aventura team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Don Soffer Aventura secured a 53-47 W over Sheridan Hills Christian on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Barracuda have won by exactly six points.

Don Soffer Aventura got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Urbach out in front who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Urbach a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Tom Sela, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Hallandale didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Key West on Friday, but they still walked away with a 65-59 win.

Don Soffer Aventura's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Hallandale, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15.

Don Soffer Aventura suffered a grim 74-51 defeat to Hallandale when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Don Soffer Aventura avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
